Prepping for your trip to Mormon Lake Lodge this winter? Northern Arizona is the perfect place to enjoy all kinds of snow-filled activities for the whole family. In fact, Flagstaff, Arizona is ranked one of the snowiest incorporated cities in America, averaging 100 inches of snowfall each year. Bundle up, grab your winter gear, and fuel up your car before hitting these three guaranteed fun snow endeavors.

Arizona Snowbowl

Calling all adrenaline junkies! Opening for its winter season on November 10 this year, is arguably the best place to ski and snowboard in Arizona. Whether you’re a beginner, or self-proclaimed “pro”, you will fit right in with the crowd. Don’t have room to pack your gear? No worries! You can rent boots, bindings, a board or a pair of skis, and a helmet in their rental shop before you hit the slopes. The mountain is only about an hour drive from Mormon Lake Lodge, so you’ll be back in time to enjoy dinner at one of our eateries on property.

Flagstaff Snow Park

If you’re looking for one of the best places to go snow tubing, Flagstaff Snow Park is where you want to be. Located right off the I17 towards Flagstaff (exit 337), this snow park is only a 30-minute drive from the lodge. Snow tubes are included with a ticket purchase, so there’s no need to bring your own sled from home. There are two separate tubing hills; one for the kiddos, and one for the adults. Food and beverage vendors, portable restrooms, and fire pits are some of the amenities included.
